Our services

Night care

For complete reassurance during the night

For those who are elderly, unwell or living with ongoing health conditions, the night-time can leave people feeling at their most vulnerable.

That is why our compassionate care team offers a personalised overnight care service, tailored specifically to you, whether you need a waking night service (where the carer stays awake throughout the night) or a sleep-in arrangement.

How night care can help

Mobility support

We are there to help with mobility support throughout the night to ensure your personal care needs are met.

Medication assistance

Our carers are trained to ensure your medications are managed safely and reliably, liaising with GPs to ensure smooth transition should your medication needs change.

A reassuring presence

Because we know how important it is for you or your loved one to feel safe, comforted, and supported throughout the night.

Your questions, answered

What does a sleeping night consist of?

A sleeping night provides you with the confidence that you or your loved one is not alone at home and that support is available should they need it, such as for toileting or medication. A sleeping night carer requires a bed to sleep in, normally in a separate bedroom. Monitors can be used to give confidence that you can communicate with your carer throughout the night. On a sleeping night, the carer can be woken twice during the night to assist.

What happens if I have a sleeping night, but I wake more than twice?

The registered managers of your branch will assess the notes provided by your overnight carers – if this is a one-off occurrence then it will still be classed as a sleeping night. If there becomes a need for the night carer to wake more than twice on a more regular basis, then we will work with you to assess whether if there’s an underlying medical need that requires an alternative solution, or we may advise to switch to a waking night. This will be discussed with you before any decisions are made.

What does a waking night consist of?

A waking night carer stays awake for the duration of the night to attend to any specific needs, which could include medication, repositioning, fluid intake or toileting. There is no requirement for a bed, as the carer stays with the client in the room and is readily available to attend to any needs that arise.

Are nights available on an ad hoc basis?

If you are an existing client of ours, all necessary risk assessments are in place and if night care is needed alongside your current care provision we can step in almost immediately. If you are a new client, we can facilitate night care efficiently, as and when you need it. Night care can be different each week, flexible to individual needs.

How are the nights costed?

A sleeping night is charged at a set rate and a waking night is charged hourly. Please contact our offices to see the most up-to-date charges.

Not sure where to start?

We understand that entrusting a care provider to care for your loved one can be daunting. Whether you are looking for funding options to help with the cost of care, or ideas about what type of care package would work best, our dedicated team are here to help with any questions you may have.
